Google review link generator

By ReviewNetwork Team · Published July 25, 2026 · Updated July 25, 2026

A Google review link is a URL that opens the “Rate and review” box for one specific business. Send that link and a customer can leave a review in about thirty seconds. Send them to your homepage on Google Maps instead and most people give up before they find the review button.

Generate your Google review link

This tool builds the link from identifiers inside the URL you paste. If your listing cannot be resolved, it tells you — it will never invent a link that goes nowhere.

How to find your Google Maps link

  1. Open Google Maps and search for your business name and city.
  2. Click your listing so the business panel opens on the left.
  3. Click Share, then Copy link.
  4. Paste it into the box above.

If you manage the listing, you can also get a short review link from your Google Business Profile dashboard under Ask for reviews. Both work — the generator above is useful when you are handling several locations, or when you want the Place ID itself for your own systems.

Place ID vs CID: why you sometimes get a different link

Google identifies listings two ways. A Place ID (a long string usually starting with ChIJ) can be turned into a link that opens the review box directly. A CID is a numeric id that identifies the listing but not the review action, so the best it can produce is a link to the profile itself.

Some Maps URLs contain only a CID. When that happens this tool gives you the profile link and says so, rather than pretending it is a review link. A link that quietly does the wrong thing costs you more reviews than no link at all.

How to actually use the link

WhereHow to use it
SMSHighest response rate. Send within a day of the job, identify your business in the first few words, and keep the whole message under 160 characters.
EmailPut the link on its own line, not buried in a paragraph. One link per email — competing calls to action reduce clicks.
Printed / in personTurn it into a QR code for receipts, counter cards, invoices or service vehicles. Add one line telling people what the code does.
Email signatureLow effort, low volume — useful as a passive backstop, not as your main channel.

Mistakes to avoid

Frequently asked questions

Is this Google review link generator free?

Yes. You get the link without creating an account. An account is only needed if you want to save businesses and manage review campaigns.

Why did my link come back as a profile link instead of a review link?

The URL you pasted contained only a CID, not a Place ID. A CID identifies the listing but cannot be turned into a direct review link, so the tool returns the profile link and tells you rather than guessing.

Where do I find my Place ID?

Open your business on Google Maps, choose Share and then Copy link, and paste that URL here. Many Maps URLs contain the Place ID directly.

Can I use this for multiple locations?

Yes. Generate a separate link for each location — each listing has its own Place ID, and sending customers to the wrong location splits your reviews.

Does asking for reviews violate Google policy?

Asking customers for honest reviews is allowed. Offering payment, discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews is not, and neither is filtering so that only happy customers are asked.
